P1 have been superstars in phonics! They have loved learning their first two sounds ‘s’ and ‘a’. I am so proud of how well they sing our songs and do their actions for each sound. In our phonics carousel, we:
- made ‘s’ using the playdough
- coloured in pictures beginning with s
- explored the snakes in the sand
- had a picnic with “ah ah ants” all over the food!
- practised writing ‘a’ on the whiteboards
