What a fantastic days' football we had today in glorious weather at our 'Girls' Centenary Cup'!
Many thanks to the girls from St. Patrick's Mullinahoe, St. Patrick's Loup, Derrychrin, Ballylifford and our very own girls from St. Peter's for the super sporting show of football we had on display today. Each of the games in the league stage were keenly contested and extremely close affairs. Derrychrin finished top of the league and went straight into the final. St. Patrick's Loup and St. Patrick's Mullinahoe finished joint second in the league table and had to play a play off game for a final spot which Mullinahoe won.
Congratulations to a very strong Derrychrin team on defeating St. Patrick's Mullinahoe in a tight final and winning the cup.
Thanks to all the staff for taking the children to the tournament today and thanks also to Sean Kelly for strong refereeing performances throughout the day.
