Yesterday we held our Boys' Centenary Cup featuring St. Patrick's PS Loup, St. Patrick's PS Mullinahoe, Derrychrin PS and St. Peter's PS.
Once again we were lucky with the weather and were treated to some brilliant games of football. Each of the league games were incredibly close with the top two teams plying in the final after lunchtime.
What a final we had between Derrychrin PS and St. Patrick's PS Mullinahoe. The game was score for score with both teams drawing at the end of normal time. This led to extra time and St. Patrick's got off to a flyer in the first half but Derrychrin then began to pull them back. They were however able to hold on and win the cup which led to great celebrations.
Many thanks to all the teams who took part and thoroughly enjoyed themselves throughout the day. Many thanks also to our own boys who performed so well all day. They are a credit to the school.
