Ballinderry River Trust 🐠
Our P7 pupils have been involved in the Ballinderry River Trust's Trout in the Classroom programme. This involved setting up a small trout hatchery in the classroom for the past 5 weeks allowing the children to monitor the water conditions daily and to watch the trout eggs hatch.
Today the boys and girls delivered their trout back to Ballinderry River’s Trust breeding centre in Orritor. The children learned so much about the ecology of Ballinderry River and the lifecycle of a trout.
Thank you to Frank, Jillian and everyone at Ballinderry River Trust for allowing us to take part in the project and for all your support and guidance along the way 😁 The kids learned so much. Check out some of the amazing pictures from our trip... we have some very fearless P7’s!
